Mamiya NC / CS 35 mm SLR mount, introduced in 1978 | 35 mm SLR

Mamiya NC, also associated with Sekor CS lenses, was Mamiya's late-1970s proprietary 35 mm SLR bayonet. It followed Mamiya's earlier screw-mount SLR work and appeared on compact NC1000-series bodies.

The system was small but technically interesting, with a focused range of primes, macro, fisheye, telephoto, and zoom lenses. Many of the lenses are respected despite the mount's limited commercial footprint and short production life.

For catalog use, Mamiya NC represents Mamiya's 35 mm SLR design in miniature: serious optical work from a company better remembered for medium format. It is a useful contrast against Mamiya's much larger 645, RB67, and RZ67 systems.
