Pentax Q is one of the smallest interchangeable-lens camera systems ever sold. The original Q used a 1/2.3-inch-type sensor, with later Q7 and Q-S1 bodies moving to a larger 1/1.7-inch-type sensor while keeping the same tiny mount.

The lens family mixes serious small optics with playful toy lenses and adapters. Because the sensor is so small, focal lengths are extremely short by full-frame standards and depth of field is naturally deep, even when the lens is physically fast.

In catalog comparisons, Pentax Q entries should be treated as compact-camera optics with interchangeable-lens flexibility. Their scale, aberration tolerances, and rendering goals are very different from APS-C or full-frame mirrorless systems.
