Zeiss Ikon Contaflex SLRs were compact 35 mm leaf-shutter reflex cameras. Early bodies had fixed Tessar lenses, while later Tessar-equipped models used the Pro-Tessar convertible system: the front cell could be removed and replaced by dedicated wide, tele, macro, or accessory units while the rear Tessar section and shutter remained in the camera.

That makes Contaflex different from a normal interchangeable-lens bayonet. The optical formula spans both the removable Pro-Tessar front unit and the body-mounted rear lens section, so the mount category is best treated as a system-specific convertible interface rather than DKL, Contarex, or a generic fixed-lens camera.

For catalog browsing, Contaflex entries show how leaf-shutter SLR makers tried to offer focal-length flexibility before focal-plane-shutter SLR mounts became dominant. The designs are constrained by the body shutter and fixed rear optics in ways that ordinary full-lens bayonet systems are not.
